Seniors: Our FAFSA night will be next Tuesday. All students on track to graduate at the end of this school year should attend. If you are going back to Arvin in January, you should also attend. Elias will be coming to your 2nd period class to answer questions.
Students- If you have done any community service during the Thanksgiving break, please make sure you turn them in this week in order to get credit. Remember, every 12 hours equal one elective credit!
BAKERSFIELD COLLEGE: On Dec. 11, Bakersfield College will be here to help seniors complete their application and orientation. You will need your social security card (take a picture) in order to apply. If you don’t have a social security card, see Mr. Marquez to get a BC student number.
FAFSA @ NUEVA: Representatives from Cash4College will be here at Nueva on Tuesday, Dec. 11 to help you and your parents complete your application for free money for college. You will need to bring:
- Your social security card or DACA social security card.
- One of your parent’s social security card, if they have one.
- Your parents 2017 taxes.
Please note that if you have a sibling who has already done FAFSA in a past year, your parent already has a FAFSA account. We will need that information in order to complete your application, since we cannot create another account for the same parent.
