FAFSA:
The deadline for FAFSA is March 2nd. If you didn’t attend our FAFSA night, see Mrs. Elias for information on upcoming sessions in the community.
CAP AND GOWN:
The deadline to buy your cap and gown for $17.50 is next Friday, Feb. 28. After that you will have to go to Bakersfield to buy it yourself, and it will cost you $26.50. See Mrs. Elias or Mrs. Gabion if you have questions.

Knights are building a Trusting Relationship by building their confidence to more openly engage as part of the Nueva Family. Knights will improve their sense of acceptance and emotional safety.
Students: If you are interested in earning Community Service hours, please sign up with Ms. Ramirez during break or at lunch. We have 2 opportunities next week on Thursday March 1st and Saturday March 3rd. Remember that every 12 hours earns 1 elective credit. If you are in Quest for Success, you can also earn monetary incentives for every 10 hours of community service you complete.
Knights are Accountable and manage their time in a positive manner. What a great way to earn credits and give back to your community at the same time!
We’re celebrating “National School Breakfast Week 2018” March 5th – 9th. Did you know eating school breakfast fuels learning? It’s true! The cafeteria is open for Breakfast service from 8:10 to 8:40 Monday through Friday!
Breakfast Fact: Students who eat school breakfast are more likely to:
- Maintain a healthy weight
- Have better concentration and memory
- Be more alert
- Reach Higher levels of achievement in reading and math, and score higher on standardized tests
- Drink more milk and eat more fruit daily
