Did you know: On this day, we raise awareness of all nurse contributions and commitments and acknowledge the vital role nurses play in society.

 

Today in History: John Steinbeck wins a Pulitzer for “The Grapes of Wrath” The book traces the fictional Joad family of Oklahoma as they lose their family farm and move to California in search of a better life. They encounter only more difficulties and a downward slide into poverty.

 

National Mental Health Awareness Month

Self Care Tips: Some of the numerous benefits of going outdoors include reduction in stress, improved mood, increased sense of calm, decrease in depression and anxiety, and can often serve as a source of inspiration.

Here are a few things you can do today:

· Go for a walk or run around the block.

· Spend some time gardening

· Make a cozy outdoor space

“If you are graduating in June, please make sure to take care of any outstanding debts. Turn in those books ASAP and make sure to return your Chromebook at the end of the year. You may still participate in the graduation ceremony if your debt is not cleared, but you will not be able to pick up your diploma or get an Official Transcript.
