Did you know: Epilepsy Awareness Day on March 26th aims to increase the public’s knowledge of a neurological condition affecting nearly 50 million people worldwide. 

 

 

Today‌ ‌in‌ ‌History:‌‌ Dr. Jonas Salk announces polio vaccine

 

On March 26, 1953, American medical researcher Dr. Jonas Salk announces on a national radio show that he has successfully tested a vaccine against poliomyelitis, the virus that causes the crippling disease of polio. 

 

 

Sonia Sotomayor - First Latina U.S. Supreme Court Justice

Sotomayor successfully became a U.S. Supreme Court Justice in 2009. She has

become known for criminal justice reform and women's rights.
