WORLD KINDNESS DAY!
Did you know: On November 13th, as part of World Kindness Day, we are encouraged
to spread kindness like an infectious cold. We want to share it more than usual because
studies show when others observe kindness in action they are more likely to carry out
an act of kindness, too.

Today in History: Vietnam Veterans Memorial dedicated
Near the end of a weeklong national salute to Americans who served in the
Vietnam War, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial is dedicated in Washington, D.C.
after a march to its site by thousands of veterans of the conflict. The long-awaited
memorial was a simple V-shaped black-granite wall inscribed with the names of
the 57,939 Americans who died in the conflict, arranged in order of death, not
rank, as was common in other memorials.

take it away from you.”  —B.B. King
