February is Black History Month

Black History Fact:

Olympic Athletes: Athletes John Carlos and Tommie Smith made history — and headlines — when they raised their black-gloved fists on the awards stand at the 1968 Olympics. Both also wore Black socks and no shoes on the podium, representing Black poverty in America.

Quote of the day: “In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.”  --Michael Jackson

Positive affirmation of the day: “I always tend to see goodness in people and situations”
