Did you know: Classified employees are recognized as integral to the success of students and public education. From transporting and feeding students to teaching them vital skills and ensuring that schools and community colleges are operating smoothly, classified employees have earned respect as educators and partners in the education community.

 

Today in History: Thousands of Jews die in Nazi gas chambers; IG Farben sets up factory

On May 21, 1942, 4,300 Jews are deported from the Polish town of Chelm to the Nazi extermination camp at Sobibor, where all are gassed to death. Sobibor had five gas chambers, where about 250,000 Jews were killed between 1942 and 1943.
