National Clean Up Your Room Day!

 

Did you know: The day helps garages, sheds, and cabinets see the light of day. Drawers, closets (did we say that already), and under the bed get thoroughly organized. 

 

 

Today‌ ‌in‌ ‌History:‌‌Transcontinental railroad completed, unifying United States

 

On May 10, 1869, the presidents of the Union Pacific and Central Pacific railroads meet in Promontory, Utah, and drive a ceremonial last spike into a rail line that connects their railroads. This made transcontinental railroad travel possible for the first time in U.S. history. No longer would western-bound travelers need to take the long and dangerous journey by wagon train.

 

 

National Mental Health Awareness Month

 

Self Care Tips:  Some of the numerous benefits of going outdoors include reduction in stress, improved mood, increased sense of calm, decrease in depression and anxiety, and can often serve as a source of inspiration.

 

Here are a few things you can do today: Exercise, do yoga or play a sport

 

 

 

 

“If you are graduating in June, please make sure to take care of any outstanding debts. There will be a free Covid Vaccine Clinic held on site this Thursday between 1 and 5:30.  All students 16 and older wishing to get their vaccine should preregister.  Invite your families to come and get vaccinated too!
