Did you know: On March 9th, National Barbie Day celebrates an iconic toy that premiered on this day in 1959. Barbie debuted at the American International Toy Fair in New York.
Today in History: First Adopt-a-Highway sign goes up
On March 9, 1985, the first-ever Adopt-a-Highway sign is erected on Texas’s Highway 69. The highway was adopted by the Tyler Civitan Club, which committed to picking up trash along a designated two-mile stretch of the road.
More women are earning college degrees than men. Women earn about 57 percent of bachelor's degrees, according to 2018 data from the National Center for Education Statistics.
